Human life can be magnificent–can make us do things we
wanted, go to places that we wished to go, and make us choose things for ourselves.
However, this freedom can be a little addictive, especially when we humans
abuse it too much.
For years the Philippines has been experiencing a
phenomenon of widespread cigarette use, luring new victims in every single day,
infiltrating their body system, killing them–slowly–until their lungs give up.
In a nutshell, a smoker’s life cycle can be thoroughly illustrated. Like a
cigarette stick, a smoker’s life is in danger of a shorter term. The addictive
charm inside a small single cigarette stick can cause a large, deadly
consequence to the users.
As a human being given the gift of life, and the
privilege to live, we should adhere to our own good, not only for ourselves,
but also for our future children. We should be able to control, in order for us
to not end up like cigarette butts–that when finished would be thrown away in
the dirt.
